Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings has been cleared by his doctors to race in the final round of the MX2 World Championship in Leon, Mexico this weekend, Pit Beirer, Head of KTM Motorsport has confirmed.
The Dutch rider, A Red Bull athlete who celebrates his twentieth birthday on Friday, holds a 23-point lead over his factory teammate Jordi Tixier of France going into the final round.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team has left for Brazil and later Mexico for the final two rounds of the 2014 MXGP and MX2 World Championship. Fresh from the long summer break, the factory riders have re-charged their energy and their motivation and intend to wrap up the season on a high note.

Red Bull KTM Factory rider Ken Roczen was crowned the 450 Pro Motocross Champion at the final round of the US Pro MX Championship Series in Tooele, Utah, a remarkable achievement in his rookie year. Teammate Ryan Dungey was a fighting close second overall in what was a landmark result for the KTM factory team.
Royal Distributing Fox Head Canada KTM rider Kaven Benoit clinches the MX2 CMRC Canadian Championship aboard his KTM 250SX two-stroke! Kaven was the points leader and red plate holder heading into the final round of the championship at Walton Raceway in Ontario. Kaven arrived at Walton Raceway with a 42 point lead over 2nd place. In order for Kaven to clinch the championship, he needed to earn 9 points. Not only did he do so, but he earned a solid 2nd place overall finish on the day. Tyler Medaglia was impressive all season holding onto 3rd place round after round. The MX1 class was jam packed with talent as Medaglia battled for race wins each weekend. Going into the final race of the series at Walton, Tyler had an 8 point lead over 4th place. Tyler earned an impressive 4th overall on the day at Walton which secured his 3rd place championship finish. Track conditions were not ideal, but both riders persevered. The weather started out Cloudy Sunday morning but later cleared as the sun came out. The track conditions proved to be challenging Sunday as it had rained the day before. The track builders at Walton worked extremely hard to make sure the track was in the best possible condition for racing. They could not have done a better job of prepping the race track.

Another motocross season is drawing to a close and the Parts Canada TransCan is the unofficial end and this year it feels like it is the end of fall, with cold temperatures and strong winds greating the riders. But fear not, the racing is heating things up.
Another national championship season – one of the most dramatic and volatile in years – is drawing to a close with the traditional final showdown at Walton Raceway in Walton, ON, a venue that has been on the CMRC Nationals schedule since 1992.
Red Bull KTM Factory rider Ryan Dungey took the overall win at the tenth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series at Unadilla Raceway in New Berlin, New York on Saturday to close the gap to teammate Ken Roczen to just seven points with two rounds still to go. Both Dungey and Roczen ride the KTM 450 SX-F machine.
Royal Distributing Fox KTM Team rider Kaven Benoit finished a solid 2nd overall. He went 1-4 for 2nd Overall in Moncton. Kaven was able to pull the Royal Holeshot in Moto 1 and rounded the first turn in 3rd in Moto 2. MX1Team rider Tyler Medaglia obtained two 7th place finishes in both MX1 Moto’s and finished inside the top 10 with a 7th place overall finish. Sunday’s racing proved to be extremely challenging as the track conditions were less than ideal. The track was extremely dry, hard packed and littered with rocks. Passing was no easy task as large rocks sprayed the riders attempting to make a pass. Aside from the track conditions, the weather could not have been better. It was a beautiful sunny August day without a cloud in the sky. There were a tremendous amount of spectators on hand to witness their favorite pro riders. Without question, Moncton had the largest amount of spectators.
