Victoria Hett Racing: Piston Run

I packed my gum boots, my rain jacket and my umbrella and felt pretty prepared for a weekend of racing at Chipmunk Creek in Chilliwack. The 66th annual Piston Run has a reputation for being one of the more difficult races of the season, not only because of the technical trails and steep grades, but the fact that they are usually under a constant slick of water and mud that is kept up by daily rain showers. About 50 % of the bikes at the Piston Run boast a rear trials tire for the conditions, an ominous sign no doubt! Imagine our surprise when after arriving we saw the rumors were true that it was actually dusty this year! Long time family friend and organizer Wally Klammer later told us “we almost cancelled the race because of the lack of rain, it’s just too easy now!”

With the two British Columbia rounds of the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals in the history books, the Pro MX1 and MX2 Tour heads east to Alberta, where Wild Rose MX Park in Calgary will host Round 3 of the points chase this Sunday, June 15th.

Carrier Centers will be hosting the grand opening of their new motorcycle dealership and Ontario trials store on Sunday, June 22, from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

Does your bike ever bog, ever had trouble starting after crashing, would extra throttle response be a benefit?  If the answer to anyof these questions is ‘yes’, the $89 iBOOSTER is your solution.
